Today's Reading is Isaiah 19

Isaiah 19 is a prophecy against Egypt. God will judge Egypt (Isaiah 19.1-15; 20.1-6) The idols of Egypt are no match against God, There will be civil war (v. 2) . Assyria captured Egypt in 670 B.C.

God will also save Egypt (Isaiah 19.16-25) There is a remarkable prophecy in verse 24: Egypt, Israel and Assyria (modern day Iraq)- will one day worship the Lord together and share His blessing! The three countries will be a blessing to the nations. With all these things happening in Iraq, do you see God’s hand in America’s involvement and Iraq? This is exciting news, and may happen in the near future.
