Today's Reading is Isaiah 32.1-8; Psalms 59.1-5

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 32; Psalms 49

Isaiah 32.1-8
In Isaiah 32
Verse 1.-8 We see Isaiah prophesying about the kingdom of righteousness. Jesus first coming, He came as a servant, his second coming, he will be King of King and Lord of Lords. Isaiah talking about the FUTURE, the Messianic Kingdom where righteousness and justice will be present. This is a stark contrast of what it is today in our world with corruption, extortion and bribery The kingdom will not have fools oppressing the poor and the down trodden instead you will have noble men making noble plans and doing good and noble deeds for all.

Psalm 49, with Commentaries verse by verse

Psalm 49 deals with death and money. Let us be careful to realize that money cannot stop death (v. 5-9) 8 For the redemption of their souls is costly, And it shall cease forever-9 That he should continue to live eternally, And not see the Pit.(NKJV) You cannot take money with you (v. 10-15). Job said in Job 1:11 And he said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked I shall return there. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD."
“If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this.”-C.S. Lewis
Finally money is not eternal and is only temporary in this life (v. 16-20). Mat 6:9 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.(NASB)
