READING LIST FOR POETRY AND PROPHECY
Today's Reading is Isaiah 65.1-16
King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 65
Isaiah 65.1-16 deals with Judgement and Salvation.
God is speaking here. He reaches out to people who did not know him. We could see this being fulfilled in Acts and today. God is reaching out to the Gentile Nations (v. 1). The people of Judah has been obstinant and has rejected God (v. 2-5). God will judge Judah, we see the invasion of Judah 536 B.C. by the Babylonians.
Verse to meditate on:)
1 "I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me;
I was found by those who did not seek me.
To a nation that did not call on my name,
I said, 'Here am I, here am I.'
