Jeremiah 15
we continue tio talk about what Jeremiah had to say about the future of Babylon: Drought, famine and the sword. (14.1-15.21)

The word of God can be either Good News or bad news. None of us wants to hear about judgement. This was even true for the people of Jerusalem. Jeremiah told the people that God's heart would not go out to the people. There would be four kinds of destroyers coming to Jerusalem. The news was grim.

Application:
A day will be coming soon as well, when the Lord returns, it will be judgement. The book of Revelation as well as the books of prophecy are very grim about judgement. The experences that we are about to experience will be horrific. Sptember 11 will be a piece of cake compared to what will happen to us. We need to be ready to meet God.

Verses to meditate on:
15 You understand, O LORD;
remember me and care for me.
Avenge me on my persecutors.
You are long-suffering—do not take me away;
think of how I suffer reproach for your sake.

16 When your words came, I ate them;
they were my joy and my heart's delight,
for I bear your name,
O LORD God Almighty.

Jeremiah 13 with Commentaries, verse by verse

Psalm 78, with Commentaries, verse by verse
Psalm 78:1-31
Is a maskil of Asaph. Verses. 1-8 is of the style found in the book of Proverbs. Verse 12-16 is a summary of events that happened in Egypt. And verses 17-31 is a reminder of how the people rebelled against God in the wilderness. We should pay attention to the words spoken here, because they are words of teaching and instruction for us to follow.
