Jeremiah 6
Jeremiah gave a picture of what would happen in Jerusalem when they were under seige from the Babylonians.

16 This is what the LORD says:
"Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.
But you said, 'We will not walk in it.'

Psalm 74
This a maskil of Asaph.This is a prayer for God to rescue his people and defend his cause from mocking of His enemies. (v. 3-8). This was apparently the Babylonians whos had destroyed the Temple in 538 B.C.. In v. 9-11 Asaph complains again to God and he renew his prayer..In verses. 13-17 He remembers the Lord is awesome and is the mighty God of creation and salvation.. In v. 18-23 A prayer to God to defend His cause and restore his people.. Ps 74:22 Arise, O God, plead Your own cause; Remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily. (NKJV) We need to see God do this today. Men has no regard for him and ignore him, blaspheme and mock Him.
