Today's Reading is Isaiah 48; Psalms 60
Isaiah is speaking to the remnant. Israel is seen as stubborn and rebellious, yet God is faitfhul (v. 4). What Isaiah prophesied here about Israel is not very complimentary! They were hypocritcal (v. 1-2), stubborn (v. 4). Notice the word IF in v. 18-20:
18 If only you had paid attention to my commands,
your peace would have been like a river,
your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

19 Your descendants would have been like the sand,
your children like its numberless grains;
their name would never be cut off
nor destroyed from before me."

20 Leave Babylon,
flee from the Babylonians!
Announce this with shouts of joy
and proclaim it.
Send it out to the ends of the earth;
say, "The LORD has redeemed his servant Jacob."

How may people returned to Israel under Zerubbabel? Only 50,000 to rebuild the temple and the walls! What happened to the rest of them? Thye did not want to lesve their comfortable lives in Babylon.

Sometimes we claim promises from the Bible, which is good! BUT we ignore those little pesky words called prepositions, just as IFs, ANDs, or BUTs and we pay the consequences for that just like the people of Judah.

Spurgeon-Psalm 60
This psalm is of David. According to the NIV Study Bible, When David fought Aram Naharaim and Aram Zorah and when Joab returned and struck down twelve thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt. (2samuel 18.3). verse 103 David lamented over God's rejection of the Israelites. Verse 4-9, David plead to God for help, knowing that God would answer his prayers. Verse 10-12 David is confident of victory that God will give Israel. The verse that spoke to me is verse 12 'With God we will gain the victory and he will trample down our enemies.'

This psalm is a prayer of David asking for God's help for protection of his enemies. I love the phrase 'In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me? this occurs twice in verse 4 and is repeted in verse 10 and 11. We are trusting in God. We do not need to be afraid of man because God is our Rock. (Psalm 27.1)

Today's Reading is Isaiah 42:1-9

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 42

Isaiah 42.1-9
Let us look at these verses. Who is the Servant of the Lord? It is Jesus the Messiah. Is this speaking of His first or second coming. The passage seems to be speaking primarily of his first coming. The verses in Isaiah 41.1-4 is wuoted in part in Matthew 12.18-21. This is the first of the Servant Songs (There are four Servant songs: Isaiah 42.1-9 49.1-6; Isaiah 50.4-11 and 52.12-53.12). These verses (1-9) speak of His ministry, gentleness, compassion. He has the authority and help from God in the accomplishment of His ministry. This passage also speak about his second coming when he establish justice on earth. He has created a covenant, the New Covenant symbolized in the Lord supper with bread and wine as the elements symbolizing His death for us. He is a light to the Gentiles, and by His death has freed us from the captivity of sin.

Today's Reading is Isaiah 41; Psalms 55

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 41; Psalms 55

Isaiah 41
Isaiah continue with the idea of the nations renewing strength in the Lord from Isaiah 40.29-31. we continue with the them of 'Who is God?' in Isaiah 40. Notice the subject 'I' refers to the almighty God. Here are some examples of verse to meditate on: verse 4 '...I, the Lord-with the first of them and with the last- I am he.' Notice the phrase 'do not fear' in in verse 10: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. in verse 13 For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. 14 Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help you," declares the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. God was speaking to the people of Judah o comfort them, but even today with uncertainty and hopelessness we can cling to the words that God spoke here: DO NOT FEAR.
The Lord Almighty is also speaking of the future when the Messianic Kingdom will be established: verse 17-20, where the desert will turn into pools of waters, put the cedar acacia , the myrtle and the olive in the desert. (Isaiah 35.7)

A remarkable prophecy occur some 100 years before it happened. God spoke about someone from the north who would rescue the thread on rulers including the Babylonians (v. 25). We will speak more aboyt Cyrus later.

Psalm 55.1-23
This psalm is a prayer of David for God's help when he faced a conspiracy in Jerusalem which was under the leadership of a former friend. The situation described is like that of the conspiracy of Absalom conspiracy against his father. We can imagine David felt betrayal, disappointment and mistrust when he heard about this conspiracy. The verse that spoke to me is verse 22: Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.

Today's Reading is Isaiah 40:21-40; Psalms 54

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 40; Psalms 54

Isaiah 40.21-40
Who is God? Here are some attributes Isaiah use to describe God: he is Creator; King; all know-ing, all-powerful, He humbles princes and reduces rulers of the world to nothing. To whom can you compare God to, or who is His equal? When we look at the heavens, we should feel small when we think of the vastness of the universe. Sometimes we do not get it. we are preoccupied with our worries, the little world that we create for ourselves that we forget who God is. God does not get tired but we do! The verses to meditate on today is Isaiah 40.29-31:

29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Psalm 54.1-7
This psalm is a prayer of David for deliverance from his enemies. (v. 3) He pleads to God to save him (v.1), to hear his prayers (v. 2) He knows that God is his help (v. 4) and that he would deliver him, and he will look with triumph over his enemies. We should go to God in prayer to protect us against our enemies. We should love our enemies. Many Christians are being persecuted and kill in Moslem nations, China, and other places. we should remember them in our prayers. we may not face that kind of persecution YET in the United States for our faith. But in the future, it will happen!

Today's Reading is Isaiah 40.1-20

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 40

Isaiah 40
Isaiah has been called the minature Bible. Chapter 1-39 emphasizes the judgement of God and is the message similar to the Old Testament. Chapter 40-66 emphsizes the love of God and is resembles the message of the New Testament.

Isaiah 40 speaks of God comforting His people. Notice the word comfort is a double imperative, that is, 'Comfort, comfort'. This double imperative occurs in Isaiah 40.1; 51.9, 17; 52.1, 11; 57.14.

The prophecy of the mission of John the Baptist is foretold and fulfilled in Matthew 3.3; Mark 1.3; Luke 3.4; John 1.23. The frailty of man as being grass is compared to the word of God last forever is mentioned v. 6-7. The greatness of God mentioned v. 9-20. I love the scene from The Chariots of Fire when Eric Liddle, a devout Christian, gave a speech in a church during the Olympics. And He quoted from Isaiah 40, about the greatness of God and the frailty of man.

Here is a biographical sketch of Eric Liddell, a who took a stand not to run on the Lord's day even though people would laugh at him and he would be disqualified from the Olympics. He honored God, and so God honored him.

Do we realize how great our God is, or do we treat Him with contempt. A verse worth meditating is verse 15 'Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scale.'

Today's Reading is Isaiah 39; Psalms 53

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 39; Psalms 53

Isaiah 39
In 2 Kings 20.12-19; Isaiah 39.1-8 Envoys from Babylon came to visit Hezekiah and he showed them what he had in his storehouses and treasures. Isaiah came to Hezekiah after the visit and prophesied that the Babylonians would come and pillage all the treasures and take away his descendants to Babylon. Hezekiah said that the word of the Lord was good because he would not live to see peace and security in his lifetime. Hezekiah did not realize the implications of what Isaiah said. In 586 B.C. Nebuchadnezzar captured Jerusalem destroy the Temple and carry of the royal household including Daniel, Sharach, Meshach and Abed-Nego (Daniel 1). In Hezekiah's days, Babylon was not a major world power, so he had problem showing his treasures to the Babylonian envoys. The wickedness of Hezekaih's son Manasseh was a major cause of the captivity (2Kings 21.11-15).

Psalm 53.1-6
This is a somber psalm reminding us about people who claim that there is no God are labeled fools. No one understand or seeks for God. This is very serious accusation of the human race. We are all corrupt, there is no one sho does good, not even one. (verse 3) Rom 3.23 The psalmist then talk about the characteristic of evildoers: that they never learn, devour God’s people, never call on God, overcome with dread even when there is no dread. God despised them and scatter the bones of those who attack the righteous. Finally, in verse 6, salvation would come from Zion when God restores his people’s fortune.

In 2 Kings 20.1-11; 2Chronicles 32.24-26; Isaiah 38.1-8 Hezekiah was ill at at the point of death. He prayed to the Lord a remarakable prayer: 2Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD, saying, 3"Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly. NKJV God sent Isaiah to tell him that he would be healed and lived for fifteen more years. Hezekiah asked for a sign. He asked that the shadow goes back ten steps. He was cured of his illness.

This was a psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite went to Saul to tell him where David was hiding. David was in the house of Ahumelech (1Samuel 21.1-9). David is confident of God’s protection (v. 1-4) Doeg was boastful (v. 1), his tongue plots destruction (v. 2), loves evil (v. 3), love harmful words. In v. 5-7 God will destroy the enemy and the righteous will mock him. In verse 8-9 David’s security is God, notice the verbs such as trust, praise and hope and how they are used in these verses. We do not need to be afraid of people who means us bodily harm because God is there to protect us.,

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 36

Isaiah 36.1-22; 2 Kings 18, 13,17-37; 2 Chronicles 32.9-19

Isaiah 36
Sennacherib had attacked and captured all of the fortified cities of Judah. Jerusalem was the only city left. This happened in the fourteenth during the reign of Hezekiah. In the Bible,Hezekiah is the king mentioned more than any other kings of Judah. The field commanders of Assyria said to Hezekiah's officials: On what are you basing this confidence of yours on to protect you? Sennacherib was boasting that he could conquer Jerusalem. He did not know that the Lord Almighty was protecting Jerusalem. The field commanders were speaking the truth that Hezekiah and his armies could not save them. They mocked Hezekiah's officials that they should not listen to Hezekiah's words that the Lord would deliver them. This was the propaganda of the enemy to turn their eyes off God and to fear the Assyrians.

The enemy of our soul mocks us as well and say to us: On what are you basing this confidence of yours on to protect you? We do not need to listen to his lies but put our confidence in the Lord Almighty.

Isaiah 35
This chapter deals with the future. This is when the glorious kingdom has come. Desert and the parched land will be glad. The fact is we will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God. Have you ever thought about the glory of God? You should be full of awe and be humbled at the same time. It cannot be described. Isaiah is encouraging the people, look beyond your circumstances and look to God! Verse 5-6 speaks of spiritual and physical healing which is reflected in Christ's and the Apostles ministry on earth. Matthew 11.5; Matthew 12.2; Acts 3.7-8. It is encouraging to me in 1 John 3.2-3 says ' But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure. '
A favorite word of Isaiah is the 'highway'. In 36.8, the highway is mentioned and is called the way of Holiness. Only the redeemed will be there and they will enter Zion with singing and everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them and sorrow and sighing will flee away. (NIV)

Psalm 51, with Commentaries verse by verse

Psalm 51.1-19 is a psalm of David, He wrote this when the prophet Nathan came to him and rebuked him (2Samuel 12.1-14) after he committed adultery with Bathsheba (2Samuel 11). David has been nicknamed "The greatest of saints, the greatest of sinners. This is one of the seven penitential psalms. In verse 4, David acknowledged that the sin of adultery, murder, and lying that he committed was AGAINST GOD. We need to realize that the sins we commit against other people, ultimately, we are sinning against God.
In Verse 17 and 18 David realized that the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart. We need to realize that saying the right things is not good enough to be reconciled to God and man. It also is a change in an attitude of repentance. Repentance means taking 180 degrees turn from the direction we were in, that is from sinning and now heading into righteousness.

Today's Reading is Isaiah 34

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 34

Isaiah 34
Isaiah 34-35 is the conclusion of Isaiah 28-33. This is the time of judgement against all the nations of the world (v. 1-3). This speaks of the battle of Armageddon (Revelation 19.11-21). Verse 4 speaks about the star..dissolved, this is characteristic of the Day of the Lord. The mention of sky...scroll..starry host will fall was mentioned in Matthew 24.29 and Revelation 6.13-14. This is somehow related to 'the great distress' mentioned in Matthew 24.21 and the Second Coming.
A pretty graphic picture of the sword of the Lord in judgement (v. 5-7) is mentioned. In verse 8-9 mention was made of Edom being judged but Edom would be a foretaste of the judgement upon the world during the Day of the Lord. Edom had oppose Israel (2Samuel 8.13-14) and rejoiced when Jerusalem was destroyed (Lamentations 4.21; Psalms 137.7). Edom would be desolate, only the desert owl, screech owl and the great owl will live in the ruins. Desert creatures such as the hyenas will live there, along with owls, falcons and other creatures. The world will be desolate just like Edom when God judges the world during this day of vengeance. Will you be ready to meet Christ as Savior instead of as judge when He comes back?

Today's Reading is Isaiah 33; Psalms 50

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 33; Psalms 50

Isaiah 33
The sixth and final woe is to Assyria. God is going to destroy Assyria. v. 2-9 is a prayer of the promised destruction of Assyria. God is seen as Judah's strength, salvation (v. 3). God is all-powerful (v. 3-4) and is exalted (v. 5) and is a sure foundation. In v. 10 Isaiah speaks of God exalting Himself whereas in verse 11, Assyria would be humbled because what they sow so shall they reap to destruction.
Verse 14-16 speak of the impending doom of the Assyrians. Verse 15 describes the type of person who walks with God.
In verse 17-24 Isaiah look to the end times where Jerusalem will be ruled by the Messiah. God's victory over the Assyrian is just a foretaste of what will happen when the nations would gather to destroy Jersualem.
Zion will be seen as a peaceful abode, a tent that would not be move nor its stakes pulled up. There would be no sickness in Zion and the sins of the people will be forgiven.

Psalm 50, with Commentaries verse by verse

Psalm 50.1-23
This psalm shows God as the Mighty One, the Lord. It describes how mighty and awesome He is. According to Wiersbe in With the Word Commentary, the psalm describes a courtroom, where God is the judge and he brings indictment against insincere worshipers (v. 1-15) and hypocritical worshipers (16-22). Let us seek God in true worship.

Today's Reading is Isaiah 32.9-20

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 32

In verse 9-14, Isaiah spoke against the women of Jerusalem who were complacent amd whose daughters felt secure about the situation they were living in. In a year, they will tremble, the harvest of fruit and grapes would fail and there would be no food or wine. This occured in 701 B.C. when Sennacherib's armiy caused wide destruction across the land of Judah. The places of security such as the fortress, the noisy city, citadel and watch rowers would be abandoned. They had FORGOTTEN where their security should be in. They trust in themselves rather than in God.
In verses 15-20, Isaiah went forward in time to the Millenial Kingdom, starting with the word 'till' (NIV). The Spirit will be poured upon Judah from on high. There will be a time of plenty. Justice and righteousness shall be in the land. The fruit of righteousness will be peace (v. 17) and the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever. Compare this with Isaiah 30.15 'In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.'
In the Millenial Kingdom, it will be a time of blessedness. (v. 32)

Today's Reading is Isaiah 32.1-8; Psalms 59.1-5

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 32; Psalms 49

Isaiah 32.1-8
In Isaiah 32
Verse 1.-8 We see Isaiah prophesying about the kingdom of righteousness. Jesus first coming, He came as a servant, his second coming, he will be King of King and Lord of Lords. Isaiah talking about the FUTURE, the Messianic Kingdom where righteousness and justice will be present. This is a stark contrast of what it is today in our world with corruption, extortion and bribery The kingdom will not have fools oppressing the poor and the down trodden instead you will have noble men making noble plans and doing good and noble deeds for all.

Psalm 49, with Commentaries verse by verse

Psalm 49 deals with death and money. Let us be careful to realize that money cannot stop death (v. 5-9) 8 For the redemption of their souls is costly, And it shall cease forever-9 That he should continue to live eternally, And not see the Pit.(NKJV) You cannot take money with you (v. 10-15). Job said in Job 1:11 And he said, "Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked I shall return there. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD."
“If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this.”-C.S. Lewis
Finally money is not eternal and is only temporary in this life (v. 16-20). Mat 6:9 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.(NASB)

Today's Reading is Isaiah 31

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 31

In Isaiah 31, is the fifth woe. They are depending upon Egypt instead of upon God. They are depending upon the weapons and technology of that day to save them from the Assyrians. God will pounce upon the Assyrian like a lion and destroy them (v. 4). God will destroy the Assyrian like an eagle swooping out of the sky. (v. 5)
Isaiah appealed to the people to return. As God’s people we, too, find it tempting to go to the world and ask them to help us. We had said before in one night 185, 000 Assyrians were dead outside of Jerusalem! Let us depend on God and not in man’s help.

Today's Reading is Isaiah 30; Psalms 48

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 30; Psalms 48

Isaiah 30
The fourth woe to Judah is for rebellion (v. 1-17). The people did not turn to God but to Egypt to help them fight the Assyrians. (v. 2-5). How could the Egyptians protect Judah against mighty Assyria?
It was bad that they trusted in Egypt, they went further to reject God’s word (v. 8-11). God told Isaiah to wear a sign that said ‘These are rebellious people, deceitful children, children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction.’ No doubt, Isaiah became the laughing stock of everyone who saw him wearing this sign. People want to hear good news not bad news. Isn’t it the same today in the society, and in our churches. The city walls will collapse because of the decisions they made. Isn’t it sad when God offers them salvation (in verse 15, ‘In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you will have none of it’ They did not want to listen and obey.
In v. 18-26 Isaiah spoke about restoration. In the FUTURE, God will restore Israel back to her land where she will enjoy the blessings of the kingdom, instead they are scoffing at Isaiah and his words.

In verse 27-33 Isaiah speaks about retribution. God will use Assyria to discipline Judah but they will not captire Jerusalem. Assyria will be judged in the future. Isaiah used the illustration of Topheth .was a place outseide Jerusalem where children were offed to Molech. Topheth was prepared for the king of Assyria. Topheth was descrated bu Josiah (2Kings 23.10) and turned into a garbage dump and named ‘Gehenna’/ Gehenna is the New Testament word for hell. The funeral pyre for the Assyrian king would be a garbage dump.

Psalm 48, with Commentaries verse by verse

Psalm 48.1-14
The verse that spoke to me today was verse 1 Great is the Lord, and most worthy to be praised, in the city of God, his holy mountain. We need to come to God, to praise Him for who is. He is the great ‘I am’. He is worthy to be praised. We should come to God and kneel before Him for who is NOT for what he gives. We should be thinking every day of God for who He is. Some of his attributes to think about. He is eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, is everywhere.

Wiersbe quoted in With the Word Commentary from C.S. Lewis: “If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this.”

Today's Reading is Isaiah 29

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 29

Isaiah 29
In this woe, God calls Jerusalem Ariel. Ariel means lion of God but it is a play on words. The lion is the symbol of Assyria. Isaiah is saying Assyria is the lion of God and Israel is the lion of god in name only. The Hebrew word Ariel also means an altar hearth where burnt offerings were sacrificed. Jerusalem will become an altar hearth, that is a place of slaughter. This almost happen in 701 B.C. when God intervened and stopped the Assyrians. However in 586 B.C. the Babylonians burnt the Temple down and captured and killed many Jews. The city was like an altar hearth. Isaiah was looking even further in history when Jerusalem will be attacked by the nations of the world. This is what students of prophecy call the battle of Armageddon (Revelation 14.14-20; 16.13-21). Jesus will come at the very last minute and rescue Jerusalem.

In 29.15-24, this woe showed the unfaithfulness of the rulers. They were trying to find solution for themselves instead of trusting in God. It was like the clay telling the potter what to do (Isaiah 45.9; 64.8; Jeremiah 18; Romans 9.20). When God turns things around, it i for the better not like the puny attempts that man tries in his feeble strength.

Today's Reading is Isaiah 28; Psalms 46

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 28; Psalms 47

Isaiah 28
Note that the chapter on Isaiah 28-31 is titled 'Storm Cloud over Jerusalem'. (Be Comforted by Warren Wiersbe) According to Wiersbe, five woes (28.1; 29.1; 15; 30.1; 31.1) These woes are focused on Jerusalem. Isaiah warns the of God's judgment on the Northern Kingdom, Israel. (v. 1-6). If it can happen to them it can also happen to Judah. He rebuked them for their drunkenness. The proud people of Judah were rejoicing about the peril the Northern Kingdom was in but they were also guilty as those in Samaria. They had also mocked God's prophet. Isaiah and rejected God's Word. Does this sound like the moral conditions of today! God offers His people rest. but they will not obey His word. Their only hope is in God but they cannot see or understand. They were under the delusion that God would not punish them because they were God's people.

Psalm 47, with Commentaries verse by verse

Psalm 47 was also written by the Sons of Korah. This psalm is one of praise. The verse that spoke to me was verse 2 How awesome is the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth. God is an awesome God. He is worthy of our praise and worship. Look at the creation, how amazing things are! The forces of nature such as the volcano at Mount St Helens. the tsunami that hit South Asia and the hurricanes Florida had last fall. Man cannot even predict the weather accurately, even with the supercomputers that we have but God used men prophesy about the future and they got it right 100 percent of the time.

King James Version with Web Encyclopedia Links:Isaiah 27

Isaiah 27
The Lord will restore the nations Isaiah 26-27
The phrase 'in that day' (Isaiah 26.1; 27.1-2, 12-13) refers to the 'Day of the Lord'. Isaiah encourages the remnant who were suffering with seven illustrations as sources of encouragements. Jerusalem will be a strong city (26.1-6); the level path (26.7-11); the woman in travail; the life-giving dew (26.19-21); The conquered beast (Isaiah 27.1); The fruitful vineyard (Isaiah 27.2-11); The holy and happy feast (Isaiah 27.1-2).(Source: Be Comforted:Warren Wiersbe). Regardless of what happen God is in control.
Please note that the Bible speaks of three types of vines: the people of Israel (Isaiah 5; 27); Christ and His Church (John 15), and the godless Gentile nations (Revelation 14.18). In Revelation 2-3 there are the dead churches, compromising churches and the faithful churches. God will use the Great Tribulation to purge His Church to be a faithful church to prepare it for His kingdom.

Isaiah 25
A song of praise for the deliverance of the remnant from the Lord's devastation of the earth, Isauah 24.14-16; Isaiah 12 (see May 1 reading). The mountain in verse 6, 7, 10 is Mount Zion. We are looking at the future, the Millenial Kingdom. In verse 6-8, is a descriptiopn of the feast we will have at that time. In verse 12, Isaiah reiterated the theme of judgement.

Some things to priase God for. As Christians we do not need to be afraid of whatever trials and tribulation we have to face in the past, present and the future. Isaiah praise the Lord for his faithfulness. Here are some things that Isaiah praise God for: He has been a refuge to the poor, a refuge for the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm, a shade from the heat. verse 3 God know how to take care of His own!!
